"F&S Kiliwarrior is the best on Kilimanjaro". We hear this often from our clients, but we are thrilled to hear this from our porters & guides. They've work for many of our competitors, so we value their opinions!

Clients climbing with other companies often walk over to our camps to look at our setup. "We feel safer just knowing that the Kiliwarriors are in the same camp", they tell us!

 Wow!

Our Clients Speak...

We have many, many testimonials so we arranged it in two groups (2010-2007, 2006 and earlier). Please take some time to read how our clients all reached the same conclusion - the Kiliwarriors stand head and shoulders above the rest! And our clients should know - they saw most of the other outfitters camping next to us while on the mountain and there is no comparison!

In 2004, into the we had  a remarkable 100% summit success rate (meaning that every client who paid, made it to Uhuru Peak and safely back down) ! This is unheard of on Kilimanjaro where the average success rate is around 60% or less! Since then we have been very near perfect with only a handful of clients that turned back for health reasons.

Our clients continue to rate our operation as "excellent", including the way we treat our porters - an aspect that's very important to us!

Here are the trip reports (some with pictures) from recent clients!

Testimonial:

We picked Kiliwarriors because they came so highly recommended. I was climbing with my 66 year old mom and wanted to make sure our experience would be safe as well as exciting. I couldn't have been more impressed with the professionalism and level of service we received from Wilbert and Hosea as well as the entire porter staff. Everyone was truly wonderful and made for a great experience.

Safari Comments:

George was wonderful and extremely knowledgeable. He really made the experience special.

Testimonial:

Our trip was absolutely great, thanks to the Kiliwarriors team!

They were professional, helpful, patient and made our experience really amazing. I have never seen a group of people work harder and be more happy than our crew and guides were. We felt completely safe and taken care of entirely.

It was clear throughout our trip that our team was far superior to that of the other outfitters, from our accommodations to food to personal attention, the Kiliwarriors team are the only way to climb Kilimanjaro!

Safari Comments:

George was a great guide; we had so much fun and would definitely recommend it to anyone.

When recommending Kilimanjaro and when considering going back to do it again with my son, the ONLY outfit I will consider using is Kiliwarriors.

They are incredible form the top down. They act like one huge family in that they are always hanging out, laughing and having fun together. It is incredible to see.

The guides are unbelievably knowledgeable and encouraging. The cooks made food that was just as good as the food we ate in very nice restaurants. The water was drunk without any worries or problems. And everyone in our trip made it to the top and had a great time.

This is the trip of a lifetime. You can do it cheaper, but you cannot do it any better than the Kiliwarriors. With 3 guides and 7 clients, you felt safe and well-protected the entire time. As 1 example of how incredible the team is, every porter, cook, guide you talk to have been with Kiliwarriors since the beginning. How many organizations do you know that have zero turnover?

The Kiliwarriors are the best on the mountain. If you truly want to have the trip of a lifetime and not just make it to the top of a mountain, then you will climb to the roof of Africa with them.

Thank you Kiliwarriors for a trip I will always wish for a repeat of.

Our overall experience with Kiliwarriors was excellent!

From the pre-climb equipment check to the post-climb celebration, we knew we were in great hands with you guys. We took the 9 day Lemosho-Crater route and couldn't have been happier. It was a nice and easy-paced route and we had plenty of time to acclimatize.

Our summit day was a day we will never forget! Camping in the crater, though freezing cold, was the most scenic and unforgettable experience of our lives. Our guides, Faraja and Hosea, were very competent and our crew of porters and cooks were awesome. We felt very safe and confident with the daily pulse-ox checks and the advice from the guides to keep eating and drink 4-5 liters of water a day.

We wouldn't have done this trek any other way and we will remember it for a lifetime.

Safari Comments:

Well organized. George was a great guide and very safe driver. The camps at Ngorongoro crater, Lake Manyara and Oliver's camp were great. Thank you very much for organizing this trip for us!

Testimonial:

I spent a lot of time preparing and researching for my trip to Kilimanjaro. After reading testimonials and watching their DVD, I chose the Kiliwarriors, and had very high hopes about how good this trip was going to be. They still managed to exceed my expectations in just about every way. What a superb organization these guys are running. If they say a piece of luggage will be in a certain place at a certain time, you can be sure it will be. If they say transport will be ready at a certain place and time, it will be. Clean, roomy tents on the mountain. The list of successes continues....great food, clean water whenever you need it, help, advice, encouragement at all times.

But these are 'just' administrative items, what really made the trip for me was the sense of family that you feel when you are surrounded by the Kiliwarriors. These guys really made the trip for me, even more than the mountain itself. I never felt anything other than completely safe during all my time on the mountain. As you look at the various outfitters, you may find a cheaper alternative, but I guarantee that you'll never find a finer group of humans in ANY walk of life, than the Kiliwarriors.

Climb Comments:

Wonderful trip - one of the best in my life and I will never forget it. The Kiliwarriors are simply amazing, in every possible way. They combined flawless professionalism and fun effortlessly. They were always on top of things.

I never expected to be pampered in this way, such as the hot cup of tea in the tent first thing in the morning, the popcorn in the afternoon, the *awesome* toilet tent, the hot water bottles, etc. The meals were absolutely delicious. And Gideon was just fantastic, incredibly steady and patient. The whole crew was extremely friendly altogether.

Climb Comments:

We just returned from our wonderful, wonderful time in Tanzania, and we wanted to thank you and your entire team for a true once in a lifetime experience.

We LOVED our time with Kiliwarriors, especially during our climb to the top of Kilimanjaro.  We were guided by Hosea and Jonas, plus taken care of by Emmanuel, Jaba, Chaji, Baraka, Ramadan and so many others, and we really appreciated everyone.  Climbing Kilimanjaro was challenging, and we met many, many climbers with other companies who unfortunately did not make it to the top with their guides and porters.  But we were able to do so because of your team and the route that you've so carefully developed.  Hosea and team encouraged us, fed us, entertained us, sang to us -- whatever it took to keep our spirits up, and we are truly grateful.  Special thanks also to Emmanuel whose cooking using limited camping utensils was far more delicious than even that at the hotel that we stayed in at Arusha.

Thank you, Carol, also for your patience and understanding along the way.  We very much appreciated all the time you took to talk to us on the phone, to email with us about preparations (even on weekends!) and to share the wisdom of your experience.  If it had not been you on the first call, I don't think we would have tried this trip.

We very much enjoyed our stay and wanted to thank you again for helping us have this very special experience.  We are telling our family and friends about the trip and are telling them that, if they ever decide to try, they should only go with Kiliwarriors.

Safari Comments:

The safari portion was a lot of fun, and we got to see a lot of unusual moments straight from nature, including three juvenile male lions feeding on a cape buffalo that they had just taken down moments before we arrived on the scene.  We particularly loved our stay at Oliver's Camp in Tarangire, especially the walking safari with Alex who, it turns out, not only runs the establishment, but is also a full-fledged naturalist with incredible expertise.

John & Kyoko Lin, New York

We had a great time!

I finally got around to sending a photo from our summit last year.  I'll have to write something for you to add to the website if you'd like.  Thanks again for the memories!

There are not enough superlatives I could use to describe how good our guides, porters, cooks and whole team were on the mountain.

We were supremely well looked after and the quality of our tents, the food we were given and our water on the mountain really were 1st class.

I am absolutely certain that no other team on the mountain could have gotten us all safely to the top and back again, especially given the snowy conditions that we experienced on the Western Breach and in the crater.

First class job done by all and I would have no hesitation in recommending Kiliwarriors to anyone.  Certainly, they are a little more expensive than other operators on the mountain, but having been there and done it, so to speak, I can say that you definitely, definitely get what you pay for and how other people can say they enjoyed climbing Kili in the condition we saw them in is beyond me.

Mark Bow, Dublin Ireland

This Kiliwarrior trip was about as good as it gets.

I felt that (and so did all of my group) we were given everything we were promised and then some. I have no complaints. I thought the porters were excellent.  The guides Faraja and Justin were magnificent. They were helpful, caring and accommodating. They watched over us and took care of us. I can't say enough about them. We felt that the porters were safe and well looked after. I would rate this a great trip, one that I will always remember.

Safari Comments:

The safari was also wonderful.  The lodges were great and our driver-guide was extremely knowledgeable.

The only way to climb Kibo is with Kiliwarriors.

Time and time again you could see they were the best outfitter on the mountain. Take the Western Breach. Respect the mountain and it will respect you.

For an outstanding and memorable expedition to the summit of Kilimanjaro, thanks to the entire Kiliwarrior team.

Though others claim to offer similar services, I doubt there are any that run such a complete and professional operation, respecting both the needs of clients and the sanctity of the mountain itself.

If you are looking for an experience that gives you the best chance of feeling uplifted rather than drained, climb with Kiliwarriors.

Lisa and I had the best time climbing Kili with Kiliwarriors. It was a lifetime experience. The songs we sang and danced are still with us and I don’t think they are coming out of our heads - ever. We really appreciate everybody’s hard work and the team effort to get us on the very top of Africa. We miss all the porters and guides.

No better way to climb Kilimanjaro than with the Kiliwarriors!!

Wim Desmedt

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As we prepared to retire at the ages of 66 and 56, my wife and I looked forward to doing something special. We decided to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro. We have hiked a lot in the Smoky Mts. but had never truly climbed a mountain. I started looking for a company for the trip and quickly learned that it would be a difficult choice. Until, that is, we worked our way past the hype and saw the basic philosophy of the different outfitters. We settled on Kiliwarriors for several reasons. First, I liked Eben’s story about why Kiliwarriors was created. And, I like Kiliwarriors’ focus on having fun while attending the serious business of climbing a very high mountain in difficult weather. Sure, they have all the medical equipment and know how to use it. But rather than depending on fixing someone with a problem, the Kiliwarriors concentrate on preventing problems. And to have fun on Kili you have to have happy porters who want to share the fun. And share the fun the Kiliwarriors do! On the mountain we saw many of the top companies operating on Kilimanjaro.  While other camps were like ghost towns, the Kiliwarriors camps were buzzing with activity and were happy places. Our porters were everywhere chatting, singing and having a good time. I’m sure the other outfitters have good equipment, good guides and cooks, etc, but they just did not seem to have the fun Kiliwarriors have. From what I saw, only the Kiliwarriors concentrate on having FUN while attending the serious business of climbing a mountain. And that is what we went half way around the world to do; to have fun climbing the largest freestanding mountain in the world.

When I made first contact with Kiliwarriors, Carol quickly returned my mail and in the following months we kept in touch by e-mail and telephone. I had what must have seemed to be an endless list of questions. But Carol was patient and guided me in my decisions expertly. She assisted us in arranging a safari after our climb and in booking additional hotel time so we could relax between our activities and allow our aches and pains to heal.

When we arrived at Kilimanjaro International Airport I admit that I was relieved to see Wilbert Mollel with his Kiliwarrior shield, waiting for us. Our arrangements went without a hitch and we soon were tucked in at the Arusha Hotel. And before we knew it, we were on our way to Kili. Our guides, Gideon and Hosea had our full trust and confidence. Our cook, Emanuel and our assistant cook David worked miracles. The food they prepared was really welcome after climbing in the rain, snow and cold for hours! I told Gideon that I came to Africa for two things. To climb Kilimanjaro and to see David dance. After Gideon told David that David kept us entertained our entire trip!

After our climb we rested before departing for a 5 day safari. We were lucky to have Gilliard for our guide. The man is a walking encyclopedia and shares his knowledge freely. Emanuel was our cook and his cooking on the Serengeti is as good at it was on Kili. Emanuel was assisted by Shedrock, one of the hardest working, polite and anxious to please young me I have ever met.

Oh, yes. We reached the summit at Uhuru on January 22, 2008, after taking the Lemosho-Crater route. The weather was reported to be the worst that any of the guides had ever seen, with more snow than ever experienced. And it was one of the happiest moments of my life. Would we ever return? We can only hope to. Would be even consider using anyone other than the Kiliwarriors if we do return? No, never. The Kiliwarriors are quite simply the best on the mountain.

Safari Comments:

Our safari to Ngorongoro and Serengeti was a wonderful experience. The vastness of the Serengeti is unbelievable! It was one of the most relaxing and fun trip I have ever made!

The guides are wonderful. They care for the clients as well as the porters.
Be a boy scout, prepare for snow and cold weather. Bring 3-4 days of Gatorade or other rehydrating drink in case of upset stomach.

John Donovan, Salem OR USA

We just can't say enough to express the fun we had on our climb.  We had challenging weather conditions, yet our team pulled through in every way for us.

The food was great.  Each and every person on our team who we interacted with was just a joy to be around, from guide to porter and everyone in between.  We thoroughly enjoyed the singing and dancing.  And the birthday celebration for Andrea was beyond special.

We would not hesitate to recommend Kiliwarriors, and in fact would recommend anyone considering another guiding company to think twice about it.

Safari Comments:

I thoroughly enjoyed the Ngorongoro Crater.  I thought that Lake Manyara was a bit of a let down after that.  Seemed more "touristy."

Victor was our guide, for both of the above, as well as a one day tour of Arusha National Park (highly recommended) prior to our climb.  Victor was a joy to be with.

Dan Crisp and Andrea Wright Anderson Portland OR USA

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The 7 day Machame Route with Kiliwarriors was beyond description.  The scenery and mountain were beyond compare.  Our group had 4 clients and the small group made for an incredibly enjoyable climb and an opportunity to get to know our fellow climbers.  Wilbert and the team of porters were the best prepared, safest, and most knowledgeable team on the mountain.

Kiliwarriors had the best equipment on the mountain, the best food, and took their clients health and well being seriously.  They have the proper medical training and equipment to react when things go wrong (Wilbert saved a woman suffering from AMS during our descent when their team did not have the right equipment).

The porters are treated with respect and dignity and they work together on all of the climbs so they are not hired hands but in fact part of the team.  I could go on an on but this operation is top notch and I have recommended them to anyone who will ask.

Shawn Seaman

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I am so glad that I went up with Kiliwarriors.

The whole team of porters, guide, cook was always very upbeat, happy and chatty. They looked very healthy and strong. This was in clear contrast to the teams from other companies who looked depressed, downbeat  and some clearly looked very sick.

I was touched by many occasions of concern and care that my guide showed for the porter of other companies who were sick.

I would STRONGLY advise everyone planning to climb Kili to choose a company like Kiliwarriors.

Tariq Butt

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Awesome!  I cannot say enough good things about our guides...Faraja, Hosea and Gideon and all of the porters.  Each and every one of them made the trip and experience something I will never forget and one I will recommend to everyone.  Kiliwarriors rock!

This was the perfect 40th birthday present!  With little time left in the day between working full time and taking care of our children, I wanted to kick in my 40th birthday with a bit of a challenge, but nothing that required alot of training just not enough time in the day).

After reading about Kilimanjaro in Life Magazines "Heaven on Earth,100 Must See Destinations" I began the research that lead me to Kiliwarriors.  After much research I selected Kiliwarriors for three reasons; their success rate, bathrooms and showers at times- in my opinion and the other women on the trip opinion- a must have), and an article I read while I was researching that described how Kiliwarriors had found and brought down a hiker that was left by another tour company on the trail.

This was my first real hiking and camping trip but I was determined to make it.  It was the perfect balance of physical and mental challenges carefully overseen with gentle quite encouragement and humor of the Kiliwarrior staff. I felt safe the entire time.

After being on the mountain and seeing the other tours in action, I felt that Kiliwarriors was the best in terms of staff (numbers and quality), accommodations (your own place to relax and yes- bathrooms are essential!!), food (fresh veggies, fruit, soups, meats, starches.. food we recognize), as well as the campers themselves (professionals).

All of the reasons above were the reasons our whole party made it up and down (do not underestimate this part) the mountain.  Thank you again Kiliwarriors for opening my mind to a whole new way  of vacationing.  We are currently in the process of finding a similar outdoor adventure for our whole family.

Safari Comments:

Our own car and guide allowed us to see what we wanted to see in the time we had available. We saw it all.  The accommodations (from the Crater lodge to the Tented camp) and food where fantastic.  They even baked me a cake for my birthday!!!  Kiliwarriors took care of it all.

Sincerely,

Susan Spring

It's difficult to express the exhilaration of climbing with Kiliwarriors and reaching the summit.

Now, more than 2 months later, I've forgotten the mild hardships and only remember the care with which the trip was planned, the friendships between the clients, guides, and porters, and the stunning views and beauty of the African landscape. The guides were great; they paid constant attention to our health and safety, especially Hosea who led our own small sub-group of 4 climbers.

At 52, and my first time over 14K, I found this trip well within my ability, thanks in large part to the excellence of the Kiliwarrior team. I wouldn't climb with anyone else. I'm sure they're the best singers too!

Jon Wist

The porters and guides of Kiliwarriors are quite simply, the best on the mountain. We literally put our lives in their hands for a week, and always knew they were taking good care of us. With every step we felt completely safe and absolutely protected by the whole group.

These are amazing people and I'm honored to have met them and grateful for everything they did for me and our whole group.

As for Wilbert: We put so much trust in him throughout the entire week that once we got down we all joked that we couldn't make a decision without him. He became our father, out doctor, our mentor, our psychologist and - more importantly - our friend.

What an unbelievable, unforgettable experience, to climb on Kilimanjaro with the Kiliwarriors! From our initial contact with Carol in the the US, to our days spent with the superbly skilled mountain team in Tanzania, our trip was totally seamless. These folks handled everything with ease and grace, and all we had to do was enjoy.

I was most impressed by:

The guides-Wilbert is a master of organization and leadership. Put this man in a 3-piece suit and he could run any Fortune 500 company in the world. And if Wilbert is the head of the team, Faraja is its heart and soul, not to mention the biggest cheerleader. It is easy to see that the whole team loves and looks up to Faraja.

Emmanuel and his kitchen crew-they provided meals on the mountain that were better than those in the restaurant at our posh Arusha hotel. You guys need to publish a Kiliwarrior cookbook-I know I'd buy one!

The team members-each has a job that he performs with pride and excellence, and each goes out of his way to make you feel as though you are family. Gideon, Jaba, Shedrock, Chaji, Kanini, and everyone-I can't thank you enough for all you did for us.

Choosing a tour company off the internet was a real leap of faith. How glad I am that we chose the Kiliwarriors. They are a class act, and I recommend them highly!

The trip went well. Our guides and porters did a first-rate job.

Not knowing much about Kilimanjaro, I was not sure which route to take. I am 45 and about average fitness. I did a lot of walking before the trip but that was about it.

I chose the Lemosho/Crater 9 day route and it was the right trip for me. I feel I got a good value for my money. Glad I went. It was a good vacation. Next summer I will try the Kiliwarriors trip on Mt.Meru and a safari. I hope I can get the same guides and porters.

We had a wonderful trip and made the summit on August 13th!  We were not only impressed by the mountain and the climb, but with the quality and care that Faraja and his team had.

We were proud to be with the Kiliwarriors at every camp and would not recommend to climb Kilimanjaro with any other group!

Our safari at Little Governors was exceptional and we were able to view all the animals we hoped to see. Thanks for your help and your recommendations. Maybe we will have another climb in the future!  Thanks again

A great big thank you to a wonderful team. They were an inspiration and helped me to get to the top of the mountain. From Wilbert's hospitality in taking me to meet his beautiful mother to Faraja & Gideon's care and concern on the mountain, the whole trip was organized so professionally and personally that i would not think of going with any other company.

Although without doubt the hardest thing I have ever or will ever do it was worth it to make so many lovely people. The Kiliwarrior team are 'simply the best'!

A well organised trek system.

A happy crew with well informed and approachable guides.

I really enjoyed the experience it was laughter and jokes all round. No problem was to small, to much or unsolvable.

Us Brits, who were drug free, had no severe problems that detracted from our pleasure. An open mind, plenty of water, (I had to be force feed), and a will to succeed, the rest is taken care of by Kiliwarriors.

Well done.

What a wonderful experience! Everyone on the Kiliwarriors team was made us feel like family! Our guides and porters were always professional and we appreciate their attention to safety during our climb. After witnessing the conditions of the porters from other companies on the mountain, we are so thankful a group like the Kiliwarriors exists to offer a better alternative!

Summiting Kilimanjaro was an amazing, but the entire journey on the mountain was an awesome experience we shall remember for the rest of our lives!

Before booking our trip I did an exhaustive search of many websites, travel forums, etc. and found that the Kiliwarriors, while smaller than most other companies, were very highly recommended. Now I know why!

Whenever our spirits started to dampen and I thought I couldn't go on, everyone was there with a word of encouragement and support. From our guides, Faraja and Hosea, to the excellent porters and cooks (the food was incredible!) all the staff were cared for and truly cared for us. We will always treasure our time on the mountain and the many friendships we made.

Thank you all for this once in a lifetime experience!

Safari Comments:

We traveled to Rwanda following our climb to see the Mountain Gorillas. Ernest and our driver William, were excellent. Both Ernest and William were knowledgeable and helpful. The gorillas were gorgeous and having one of the slap me in the face (I'm ok) was something I will remember forever.

Jan, Ian and myself could not have been looked after better, and we are sure that treatment helped us to summit successfully on my 50th birthday, which was celebrated in true Kiliwarrior style, with a champagne party at crater camp, who else has had such a reception for their birthday.

The Kiliwarriors are truly the best!! I have never walked with such an enthusiastic, friendly, and truly sincere bunch of guys. If I had the space to name them all individually, I would. They were fantastic, from Jabba, who was always present in the camp, to Ernest, who was such a welcome sight, taking the load off my shoulders every time I came into camp, through to our excellent guides, Wilbert, Faraja, Hosea and the ever helpful Gideon.

Please extend my heartfelt gratitude to each and everyone of the Kiliwarrior crew who was influential in our summit success.

That was a 50th birthday I could never forget.

What a great bunch of guys not only did they take amazing care of us they took amazing care of each other and until you are there in the middle of it, do you realize how important that is!!

My husband and I had the time of our lives climbing with Kiliwarriors! The team was amazing- very knowledgeable, accommodating, and attentive to our every need. Our favorite part was the singing celebrations at each camp- it really helped to keep our spirits up. Even after 7 exhausting hours of climbing, we still couldn't help but sing and dance along.

The food was excellent, and we were very impressed by the daily monitoring of our pulse rate and oxygen saturation. We were VERY well taken care of. Thank you, Kiliwarriors, for making our experience such a positive one. We can't thank you enough!

Safari Comments:

We had an incredibly unique experience tracking the mountain gorillas in Rwanda. The accommodations were great, and seeing such beautiful animals up close and in their natural habitat was truly a magical experience, and one we will never forget!

Whitney Sigler, Great Neck NY

There was nothing that you could have done to make the hike more enjoyable. Everything that we needed or wanted was arranged for us.

Safari Comments:

it was very nice that you were able to get us tickets to Zanzibar and information on where to stay.

There is nothing that Kiliwarriors could have done better. From the moment they picked us up until they dropped us off after our climb, our expectations were completely exceeded.

We were completely taken care of in terms of every facet of our trip. We had the great opportunity to dine every night with our porters. We are now quite familiar with the Swahili words for the names of the 4 card suits and numbers. We were not really clients we were more members of the crew who didn't have to work as hard.

Thanks again, I intend to suggest Kiliwarriors to anyone who even mentions a passing interest in climbing Kili. I also imagine I will be climbing Kili again sometime in the future and I will be sure to go back to Kiliwarriors.

Safari Comments:

We showed up to Tanzania with no plans except climbing the mountain. We allowed some time after the climb for travel, but had no plans.

We showed up and our guide arranged a safari for the next day which was an experience we were quite happy with. Then, while on the mountain Kiliwarriors set us up with plane tickets to Zanzibar, which provided for some quality beach time after the climb.

I would without a doubt recommend the Kiliwarriors to anyone wanting to do Kilimanjaro. This was 1 of the best trips I have ever experienced. We were 1 big happy family on the mountain. Everyone from the guides to the porters could not have been more friendlier. The singing and dancing from everyone when reaching the different camps and the end, made for a happy fun end of day hiking.

The food was so incredibly wonderful and plenty to fill up your stomach. I truly had an experience that I will never ever forget. Why pay for a cheaper company that does not pay it's porters good and have just an ok trip when you can spend a little more and know that these people truly enjoy working for this company and will do everything to make sure you have and unforgettable time. Be smart and definitely choose the Kiliwarriors.

Mark Goldsmith, Corona CA

You delivered everything you said you would. I was very happy with the Kiliwarriors. They were clearly the happiest group on the mountain.

Thanks for a great experience.

This adventure trip, that was 2.5 years in the planning stages, was made a huge success by choosing the Kiliwarriors as the outfitter and guide.

From the early stages of planning that was guided by Eben and Carol here in the USA to the actual time spent in Tanzania, on and off the mountain with Wilbert and his crew - no better attitude and helpfulness could have been experienced.

During the 9 days on the mountain, the entire Kiliwarrior team from guides to porters made my son and I feel like a "brother" and not a client. We often smiled silently when the Kiliwarriors would sing and dance in camps and other outfitter's clients would gather to see the fun and love they were missing with their group.

Eben and Wilbert have it right by investing in a great group of Tanzania guys and quality equipment instead of many layers of "corporate" management and glossy brochures.

A little piece of my "heart" was left on Kilimanjaro - part with the mountain and part with the Kiliwarriors!

Simeon Hain, Zionsville IN

Just a quick note to let you know what a great trip we had. All 6 of us made it to the top. The whole Kiliwarrior team was fantastic - we could not of made it without them.

If you ever need a referral - let me know - Your outfit was the best on the mountain - hands down.

Thanks again for everything!

2006 and earlier

Thank you for helping me reach the summit of Mt. Kilimanjaro, your diligence and meticulous planning enabled me to realize my dreams and aspirations of reaching the roof of Africa. The F&S Kiliwarrior guides, locals who spoke fluent English, were an integral facet of the climb’s success and possessed a thorough knowledge of the geography, wildlife, and history of Kilimanjaro. They were not stingy with their expertise and -switching easily into French- assisted a French couple outside of our group that requested help at the crater camp because their own company had no safety equipment. Add to this F&S's amenities of delicious hot food, a real toilet and a warm shower and the result is a very comfortable trek. Your outgoing, experienced and intelligent team made the journey to the summit of Kibo an experience that was all I had imagined and an accomplishment I will forever treasure.

Thanks again for your dedication,
John G. Stump Jr., Roanoke, VA USA

Traveling into the unknown, I was always a bit uncertain prior to arrival of what was going to happen or how hard the climb would be. From the moment we were met at the airport, my confidence grew with the care and attention received by Wilbert and his team. Everything functioned with efficiency and without fuss.

I was not only impressed by the care we received but the way the porters were treated and that was seen in their contentment.

Have three codes of football ever been played at 14500 ft; i.e. soccer, American gridiron and Australian Rules!

Thanks F&S Kiliwarrior

Thank you for a wonderful experience. Our trip could not have been more satisfying. Climbing Kili was one of the hardest things I’ve ever done and there’s no way we could’ve reached the summit without the expert help of Wilbert and the rest of the team. Their professionalism, the equipment, the accommodations and the trip itself including the safari extension were all first rate.

F & S Kiliwarrior made the whole Kilimanjaro experience complete. From the food to the camping equipment, everything is of the highest quality. The whole show was run to an absolute optimum level of professionalism while maintaining a fun, relaxed environment.
However, I think the memory that will stay with me forever will not be so much the scenery, but the people. Interacting with the guides & porters is what made this trip a truly African experience. Thank you to you all!

I think one of the biggest things that sets F&S Kiliwarrior apart from all other outfitters is the quality of their guides. From the first time we met, Wilbert and Faraja were nothing short of incredible. I remember one night when we left the mess tent after our usual nightly briefing on the events of the next day, and I said to my dad, "if something was to suddenly happen to Wilbert and Faraja tonight while we're sleeping, I would RUN, not walk, down this mountain soooo fast, haha..."

Climbing Kili is definitely a challenge, both mentally and physically. I won't lie; after a few days, you definitely start feeling it. F&S Kiliwarrior provided incredibly professional, friendly, and knowledgeable guides that had everything perfectly planned and mapped out for us, so we never had to add any type of anxiety or worry on top of the physical and mental exertion. Nothing was ever left up to chance, and there was no time when any problem came up that Wilbert and Faraja hadn't seen a million times before. When you're sore, tired, and feeling the altitude, the last thing you need to be is worried about the next day. The guides' knowledge and constant encouragement really kept my attitude and motivation up, and truly made my climb as enjoyable as it was

Nina Gutowski, University of Virginia, VA USA

I cannot praise F&S Kiliwarrior enough. Their success rate for summitting is unmatched and for good reason; they know the mountain and they know how to climb. They lessen the odds against altitude sickness with an appropriate acclimatization schedule and terrific food. It is also obvious from day one to the end of the climb that F&S Kiliwarrior respects their porters better than any other outfitter. It is unbelievable that they are not the most expensive provider on the mountain. They are, however, the best.

I found F&S Kiliwarrior surfing the internet when my 19 year old daughter and I (50 yo dad) decided to climb Kili. We successfully climbed the Western Breach and on several occasions, I visited with many other climbing parties on the Mountain. Without question, F&S is the finest company on the Mountain. It's hard to know what's really important when sitting in your living trying to select a company to go with. Having now done it though, I can honestly say that the knowledge and skill of the guides, the quality and enthusiasm of the porters, the superior (and new) equipment is second to none. DO NOT opt for a budget operation for this trip. You will regret your decision when you are on the Mountain and see how well it can be done (F&S). I consider my finding F&S the way I did, and then deciding to go with them one of the luckiest and best decisions ever. I truly believe everything I have said here and would be happy to speak in more detail if necessary. I'm sure Eben could arrange this.

What a great blessing to walk and climb, and learn the local songs along the way.

Although the Mountain is awesome and a bit overwhelming at times, the constant assurance of the guides and the gentle encouragement of the porters, (a lively cast of wonderful characters), made the path appear as bright as the noonday sun and the trail as clear and as sound as a walk through a garden in the cool of the day.

My thanks to everyone at F&S Kiliwarrior for such a terrific adventure.

My friend Nate and I decided it was high time for us to embark on a new adventure. When Nate suggested that we travel to Africa to climb Kilimanjaro, I could hardly contain my excitement! Within a matter of days we had scowered the Internet looking for the best outfit to help us achieve our summit goal. In no time at all, it became very obvious that F&S Kiliwarrior had just what we were looking for and more!

Our outstanding experience with F&S Kiliwarrior began long before we arrived in Tanzania. Eben and his team were in regular contact with us via e-mail to keep us up to date on trip details, to advise us on safari options, and to answer our many questions regarding the climb.

Our positive feelings about F&S Kiliwarrior were further substantiated when we arrived at Kilimanjaro International airport and were picked up by Wilbert – who was very friendly, welcoming, and excited to help us achieve our summit goal.

The climb itself was more of a personal challenge than I had imagined, but the team of guides and porters from F&S Kiliwarrior went to great lengths to support us, encourage us, and help us achieve our goal. In particular, I want to thank “Biggie” for sticking with me while I struggled up the Western Breach. He was always supportive and reminded me to take my time (pole pole) to make it to the top.

In addition, I would like to thank all of the porters who did their individual jobs extremely well and enhanced our experience to a great degree. They were always smiling and had positive attitudes. The food and service were surprisingly excellent as well. On a personal note, I truly enjoyed talking with the porters and guides. They taught me a lot about Tanzania, Arusha, Kilimanjaro, and how they live life on their side of the globe.

I would highly recommend F&S Kiliwarrior to anyone who wants to fully experience what Kilimanjaro has to offer.

Sincerely,

On Feb 15 2004 my husband asked me what I would like for my special birthday. My answer was –surprise me.
Six months later and 24 hours before departure I was informed about my surprise - CLIMBING KILIMANJARO - the highest freestanding mountain in the world. Andrzej (my husband) picked F&S KILIWARRIOR as our outfitter because their approach gave us the greatest chance to succeed. Our family included a 12-year-old son, 15-year-old daughter and 19-year-old son. We are very ordinary family. My kids never slept in tents. We have NEVER climbed any mountain and since it was a surprise we did not do any preparations.

On 8/8/04 we landed in Tanzania. Wilbert greeted us. He drove us to the beautiful hotel were we could relax. Next day he and Eben showed us our road to the top via the Western Breach. It looked very long, but according to Eben the longer the time on the mountain the better chance for success. We had total of 9 days. Seven going up including 1 full day for acclimatization and 2 days going down. We had team of porters and 2 guides.

On the day of our departure to Kili my daughter got fever so my husband took her personal backpack, she took Tylenol and off we went. The scenery was beautiful, the guides very knowledgeable. They stop at any interesting flower or plant. My 12 year old for three hours was talking to Faraja (our guide). Justin (the assistant guide) was at the end of our group - making sure that the whole group gets to the camp. When we got there - the tents were ready, hot water provided, tea waited. A few hours later we had a great dinner. Portable toilets with hot showers were always available. That pattern repeated itself at every camp. (I have to add the mattress under the sleeping bags were very good; -thick foam and not thin plastic like other campers had).

All the porters were wonderful. My 12 year old spend more time with them than with us. He played cards with them, learned songs and ate ugali food.

In summary, thanks to the great organization our totally average inexperienced family, with a feverish kid, got to the top. We had a wonderful time and my children will be able to tell someday a story to their own children about a mountain in the middle of Africa with snow on top.

THANK YOU!

Go to Kili, or rather “Go-Kili.com” (a.k.a F&S Kiliwarrior) for they are the best. Though most would explain their excellence in the climbing business due to their superior, top-of-the-line climbing gear and superb planning (Which I can vouch for), I have a different view on it all. I believe their success is due to the crew (And their planning). Nearly all being part of an extended family, they are always laughing joking, and creating a tense-free happy area at camp and on the go. I believe that a great deal of my success was due to being been able to talk to our guide (Faraja) our Assistant guide (Justin) and our personal porter (Dixon) during our hike. And at camp I could enjoy a relaxing shower (Yes, they have showers, and a toilet that doesn’t stink) followed by a wonderful evening talking (or even playing cards with) to all the porters/crew.

I had the most wonderful time on Kilimanjaro and, well, it’s like they say, time goes by when you’re having fun! Thanks F&S KILIWARRIOR.

Sincerely,

Tomek Brzezinski Jr, Age 12 (“If I can make it, so can you”), Lynnfield MA USA

Hiking to the Roof of Africa was such a great adventure. But making this trek with F&S Kiliwarrior - Wilbert, Faraja, Emanuel, Hosea and the whole Kili crew - truly made this a trip of a lifetime. They are an amazing group: experienced, knowledgeable, fun, and energetic. I felt like part of the team and not just a client.

The logistics for nine days on the mountain are daunting; however, F&S Kiliwarrior's experience makes for a seamless operation. Far exceeding any of my expectations, they proved to me that they are THE experts on the mountain.

F&S provided first-rate equipment, safety gear, and even beautiful weather (okay, maybe they didn't arrange that but it sure seemed like it was part of the package!)

I spoke with numerous climbers from other tour companies and witnessed first-hand what can happen if you choose the wrong company. Like most, I performed an exhaustive search of Kilimanjaro trip operators before finding F&S - I'm am SO happy I did!

Adria Owens, Fort Collins, CO USA

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I am so glad that I climbed with F&S Kiliwarrior, especially after what I saw on the mountain. The degree of professionalism and care for clients and porters far surpassed that of the other companies we saw during out climb. Our comfort, health and well being and that of the guides and porters were always seen to. The guides and porters knew what they were doing and knew where they were going (other groups were getting lost and backtracking and their porters had substandard, inappropriate or no equipment). I would only recommend F&S Kiliwarrior. The whole crew was amazing, patient, helpful, and encouraging. I am glad that I went with F&S Kiliwarrior.

Micae Martinet, La Jolla, CA USA

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

F&S Kiliwarrior is simply the best service organization I have ever encountered, not just best on the mountain, the best ever. Their approach to climbing Kilimanjaro gives the client the absolute best chance to succeed. I have climbed a lot of mountains up to 14,000 feet and and I felt better on the summit of Kilimanjaro than on most of those previous climbs because of attention to acclimatization, hydration, great food, and incredible support and encouragement from the whole F&S Kiliwarrior team.
Successfully reaching the summit of Uhuru was only one of the highlights of this trip (my personal favorite was the lunch on the Western Breach with all of the porters).
This is a serious endeavor that is properly supported by an amazing team. The attitude of the porters and guides, the singing, dancing, encouragement and celebration for nine days is unforgettable.
I saw many other teams on Kilimanjaro and none of them came even close to providing the services that my son and I received on this trip. Faraja and Wilbert are simply the best guides on the mountain, period.
This was an experience of a lifetime for my son and I and F&S Kiliwarrior understood that and delivered big time to the results. It is a great experience that I will never forget.
Thank you F&S Kiliwarrior, you are the BEST.

F&S also booked a short safari to Tarangire NP prior to our climb and an excursion to Zanzibar afterwards. Logistics for these extensions were handled flawlessly. F&S is truly a professional service organization. I recommend them without hesitation.

The organization, equipment, porter morale and the food could not be improved and all of these contributed towards an experience of a lifetime. People could not have been more friendly or helpful; nothing was too much trouble and often we were helped before we realized we needed help. F&S Kiliwarrior provide the ultimate in five-star camping and trekking.

Prior to my trip I considered these testimonials excessive and too glowing to be true...and now I must humbly renounce my cynicism:
All of my checked luggage was lost in transit, I had a cold for most of the climb, & I returned home to discover that my camera malfunctioned during most of the safari...and yet F&S Kiliwarrior made this one of the best experiences of my life. The climb was spectacular and the safari unbelievable, but what made the trip so fantastic were the people we got to know on the mountain. My group marveled at how professional and efficient Wilbert & his entire staff are...and then reveled in how warm and fun everyone is! It was a privilege to get to know such impressive & interesting mountaineers and I consider myself outrageously lucky to have been cared for by them.
Everything that could be controlled was taken care of flawlessly, and everything else was taken in stride. This is one of the most exceptional organizations I have ever encountered and they are what made the trip so perfect...stop even thinking about booking with anyone else.

We found F&S Kiliwarrior through a friend's referral, who provided a glowing account of his experience with them. Even with this prior knowledge, and the detailed information on the website...they still far exceeded our expectations. We had initially worried about what the food would be like...but again we were very pleasantly surprised by the daily variety, quality and quantity served. F&S Kiliwarrior was extremely knowledgeable and professional...yet provided fun and family like environment. All of the porters and guides were happy, hard working, very friendly and well equipped. We always felt very safe and well taken care of.

We had a group of 7 climbers and 30 guides/porters. The planning and logistics for a trip like this seems extremely daunting...but Wilbert and his team pulled it off flawlessly and consistently. Other groups camped near us actually came over to find out who we had booked our trip with. (The difference was that apparent!) We felt like VIPS from the beginning to the end of our journey. F&S Kiliwarrior is with no doubt the finest and most respected company on the mountain.

Everyone with our support team was wonderful. We do, however, want to mention a few key people, because they were truly exceptional in our eyes: Eben (outstanding), Wilbert (unbelievable), Gideon (our constant lifesaver), Nestor - aka "Biggie" (encouragement), Obedi and Loserian (our personal porters), Beautus, Rafael & Emmanuel (excellent cooks), Clemmons (another lifesaver) and Herman (driver extraordinaire). We consider you - our friends. Thank you all for making our experience on the mountain truly rewarding and memorable.

Excellent, is not even the best rating that can do justice to F&S Kiliwarrior. I can't even think of a word to describe the company without talking all night long, so I will make it brief. For starters if I had to do it all over again (and I just might) I would go with the same company. It was a five star climbing experience, if there is such a thing. From the first contact during the planning stages F&S took care of everything, even all of our ridiculous questions. From the moment we landed Wilbert made us feel like family. We got everything we expected and then some.

I ran into a bit of a problem at one of the lodges after the climb and poor Eben was phoned at 4 in the morning by my wife. He quickly did what he has to so that the mix up could be resolved, and It was. Other agents would have waited until the morning, but not Eben, knowing that it was 2 in the afternoon in Tanzania. Thank you Eben!

As for the climb there is no comparison, Wilbert and the KILIWARRIORS are the best, the number one! The food, the service, the equipment, and not to mention the friendship they had to offer was awesome. I will end by saying that if you ever entertain the thought of climbing Kili jump thru hoops to go with a top company like F&S Kiliwarrior.

Thanx Wilbert and Eben.

Dear Eben

We had an amazing experience on the mountain. Joe just mentioned this morning that the bad things are fading in our memory and the good things are being remembered even more fondly. Our family, friends and colleagues were immensely proud of our achievement and, although I wished we had done better coming down the mountain, taking into consideration our age, Joe's bad leg and my having caught a really bad chest cold up there, Joe and I also are taking pride in what we accomplished. Wilbert and Justin and all our porter friends were awesome.

I cannot say enough good things about our team. We feel very strongly that we would not have succeeded with any other company. Here is our summit picture! I hope you enjoy it as much as we enjoyed the Trek with Wilbert, Justin and the rest of the superb team that helped make our climb successful.

All our best,
Joe and Nancy (Babu na Bibi) Kasko - Lisle, IL

I had done lots of research on the net and sent out lots of letters to companies in order to ascertain which one would be most suitable, well-equipped and capable of assisting me/ guiding me safely up/down the mountain as I have a below-knee amputation. F&S were one of the first to come back with a positive response, and certainly the Western Breach seemed to be the route of choice.

I am still lost for words in praise and gratitude to Wilbert, Faraja all the porters and Colin, my co-climber. All the guys were thoughtful, sensitive, patient, knowledgeable and the best of company all the way to the top.
Prior to my climb I was reluctant to join a group, as I didn't want to hold anyone back and cause them any undue delay or irritation on the ascent/descent, but as it turned out I subsequently agreed to climb with Colin...a fantastic guy from Belfast. The most healing part for me was standing on the top of Kibo at 7.30 am on Friday 29th October dancing with Colin from Belfast...especially as I had lost my leg in an IRA bombing in London in 1991!! What a fantastic twist in the tale.....just shows what a great sense of humor God has and that he's got his eye on all of us.

I am still soaring even though I have been home for 2 months. I would never hesitate in recommending F&S to everyone. It might take a bit longer, it might be a bit more expensive....but I knew all along that I could trust Wilbert and Faraja with my life. I was on the top, absolutely jubilant, dancing and jumping around...wishing people a good morning who were just arriving from other routes, who could barely look up let alone exchange a word or two. I didn't realise why they were so grumpy until we descended what they had climbed...that route would certainly not have worked for me....no wonder so many people give up on other routes.

Thanks too to Eben and Chris for all their interest and encouragement from back at the ranch. This climb has meant SO much to me personally and spiritually...carry on the fantastic work and help others to climb that most fantastic mountain.

Eben & Wilbert,

This truly was the trip of a lifetime. It was great not to have to worry about ANYTHING. From the time I arrived at the airport to the time I was dropped off - I was treated like a princess. No worries...even on the mountain. I knew every step of the way that I was in good hands. The team was first class in every sense of the word...and oh so much fun. The singing, laughing, playing cards, jokes, teachings, seriousness and lightheartedness. We met other people on the trails and they loved how much fun our team was. I think they wished they booked with F&S Kiliwarrior too. The entire trip was Amazing!

Your team is HANDS DOWN the best group on the mountain! Wilbert, Giddy, and Jaba were so positive and patient with me when we went out for an afternoon hike to the Lava Tower to acclimatize. When we came around the corner and I saw the rocks we had to climb up I got really scared. Yet Wilbert talked me through it one hand hold and foot hold at a time, and Giddy and Jaba stayed right around me to support me. They all encouraged me and I made it to the top NO PROBLEM. We cheered, and it was like overcoming my own personal Kilimanjaro! I will never forget it.

The best part was getting to the rocks on the Western Breach the next day and scrambling over them at 18,000 feet. The entire team is absolutely THE BEST and I am so grateful to all of them. To be cheered and sung to every time we came into camp after a hike, to have hot water and chai brought to us faithfully every morning, to learn swahili and play cards with some of the group each night in the cook tent and laugh hysterically -- it was all unforgettable.

Your crew were the strongest, most dedicated, and fun-loving men I've ever met. If it weren't for them and their unfailing positive energy, I wouldn't have made it. Asante sana, sana, sana to Wilbert and the group for giving me an experience of a lifetime!

Although the Mountain threw her best shot in trying to prevent us from obtaining the summit. My Son and I are proud to say that "We Made It!" I was also evacuated the same day on the way down from upper respiratory congestion. I was told on our last farewell night gathering that I was the oldest individual at the age 68 to ever make the summit with this company. I have now learned my limits, but the memories of this climb with my Son can never be forgotten. We thank God that we made it with such a professional team as F & S Kiliwarrior!

Stormy & Mark Kimrey, San Angelo, TX

Gig'em Aggies!

Note from Eben: Stormy was very strong at the summit but had breathing problems (not AMS-related) on the way down so he and the guides decided to play it safe. As our clients are enrolled in an Emergency Road & Air Rescue program, this was an easy decision. After a medical check up, Stormy went back to the hotel and enjoyed his safari afterwards!

The Kiliwarriors is an outstanding outfit that took care of our every need---Supplies, tremendous food, comfortable facilities, etc.. Some others we met with another company were envious of our accommodations. Raphael, the cook, was amazing but so was Wilbert and the other men on our trip.

We enjoyed the Christian attitude of all and the times we gathered in the Cook's tent to sing for hours many song of praise. We taught each other songs even though we didn't understand all the meaning. Wilbert helped with some interpretation.

Cydnei and I had prepared for the climb by running the the stair in the building I work in. The week before the climb we were doing as many as 192 stories per day. The climb was not difficult for us, but it was very enjoyable. In fact, I think you can enjoy it the most when you are in good shape. I particularly appreciate Wilbert allowing us to shorten our trip when he became aware of our abilities. The Western breach in 3 hours and 55 minutes is not bad. Thanks!

A highlight of our trip was visiting with Wilbert and his family after the trip in his mother's home and eating "ugali" with them, visiting the neighborhood, his church and Pastor and his property on the mountainside and the community stores. They live such simple lives and seem to be happier doing it.

We enjoyed our trip, our new found friends and we will be back in the future--watch out Mount Meru.

Sincerely,

Raymond and Cydnei Blackburn, Dallas TX

I just can't say enough good things about my experience on Kilimanjaro with F&S Kiliwarrior! Our guides (Faraja and Hosea) were outstanding - I always felt cared for and safe. The food prepared by Emmanuel and his team was always good and mealtimes were a lot of fun. I successfully summited the mountain and since I am almost 40 and don't really exercise much, I owe a great deal of my success to the Kiliwarrior team and their wonderful expertise.

If you are considering climbing Kilimanjaro, F&S Kiliwarrior is DEFINITELY the way to go!

It was more difficult than I had imagined. The porters and guides were tremendous and made the trip. Guides for other companies were stopping us on the trail asking to apply to work for Kiliwarriors!

Meeting the Kiliwarrior team was at least as great as climbing the mountain and without them our whole party would not have made the summit. I feel that I have friends in Africa now.

Superb trip! We enjoyed every minute of it. To stand at the summit of Kilimanjaro is a feeling we will not forget. It was very well organized and everything went according to plan. Our guide Wilbert ran a tight ship. He and Gideon, the assistant guide, were very pleasant and easy to deal with. We felt very safe with them. They helped us practice our swahili, and us, Wilbert's French. Food was delicious and abundant thanks to Rafael and Frank. Kanini and his team saw to all of our needs and ensured that our camp was comfortable.

Even though we are experienced trekkers, this trip was a challenge. No one should take it lightly. You will be cold, dusty, out of breath and the altitude will wear you down. Beware of claims that the climb can be done in fewer days and with fewer amenities such as large tents, thick mattresses and portable toilets. You will need as much time as possible on the mountain to acclimatize. The amenities will help you maintain your morale, and your morale is what gets you to the top. And last, but not least, thanks to Eben for putting all of this together for us.

I had almost chosen a company to climb with when I stumbled across F&S Kiliwarrior on the Internet, and almost immediately realized that I needed to reconsider.  A few days later I contacted Eben with my questions, and his answers made me realize that this was the company for me.

The attention to detail before the climb made me feel quite confident; the pre-climb checklist is extremely thorough.  One hears so many stories of how miserable the climb is, but it became obvious that those poor folks couldn't have climbed with F&S Kiliwarrior.  It was never as bad as I expected....not even close.  In fact, most of the time was fun - and I hate camping!

The porters and camp crew were so helpful and encouraging, and I can't say enough good things about our guide, Faraja, and assistant guide, Hosea.  Our health and safety were always uppermost in their minds.  I think what surprised me most was how good the food was, and how much variety we had.

I had such a great time on Kilimanjaro - I wholeheartedly recommend F&S Kiliwarrior.  You will not regret it.  Besides the climb, Eben can put together a number of options to extend the trip.  I went to Mahale Mountains NP, the Serengeti, and Zanzibar, and was very impressed by the package Eben assembled.  All in all, it was a fantastic vacation.  Don't waste your time trying to compare F&S to other companies - there is simply no comparison.

The KiliWarriors is an outstanding organization from the owners through the porters. They are intelligent, safe, fun, joyful. We had more fun than a barrel of monkeys. The guides are excellent. The climb was simply awesome in every aspect.

At 44 I probably will not climb again. However, I am recommending the KiliWarriors to everyone I know. To go on a safari or a climb. Their organization is a reflection of their owners. The best !!!

Safari Comments:

We went on a safari in Ngorongoro crater and the Serengeti. Everyone should do this. The hotels were out of this world. Our guide on the safari knew everything. We could not stump him and we did try. Thanks Charles !

Again, as organized by the KiliWarriors, this was an outstanding trip.

The weather conditions at crater camp were pretty rough, but we were all comfortable and in good hands.

Conversely, a group run by another company had serious problems. A client had to be taken down the mountain in a stretcher, while at least one porter became very sick. Our Kiliwarrior team not only took care of us, but had the equipment and experience to help out the other, ill-prepared group. When climbing this mountain, go with a company that knows what they are doing!

Safari Comments:

Great safari. It was far more interesting and exciting that expected. The accommodations were outstanding.

The Kiliwarriors is the best Kilimanjaro guide company out there.

From the first moments of preparation, they are there guiding you throughout the process, to the finale of summiting and a safe return down the mountain. The food was fantastic and the equipment was top of the line. The guide and assistant guide's helpfulness and encouragement made the climb much easier. Their concern and attention to the client's safety and well-being was constant.

There is nothing that I would change about my experience with them.

I thought I was going to Africa to climb a mountain. What really happened was way beyond that. Everything exceeded my expectations. The climb itself, the food, the porters, the service and having Ernest be our guide, who hour after hour and day after day kept each of us confident and clear we were going to make it. Patrick as our 2nd guide was also a rock of Gibraltar for each of us.

I fell in love with Africa and the people of Africa. I made lots of new friends and most importantly I learned that with the kind of support provided by your company I could do just about anything. Thanks for a great experience.

We had an incredible time on the mountain and on the safaris. My wife, who traveled alone to meet us, had a great time with her personal tour guide while we were still climbing. Everyone was very friendly, polite and knowledgeable. We would definitely consider a return trip sometime in the future.

We bought the DVD after we came back. I have watched it three times. It is just like going back and climbing again, only with great weather at the summit. It is a great tool to show someone what we did. I have recommended F&S to friends. Everything was done beyond my expectations.

Since we have returned we have bought more backpacking items, we will acquire more and will be sending a care package for the porters as we promised. Thank you Kiliwarriors for a wonderful time and a 45th birthday I will never forget.

I summitted in 2004 with a different top-rated climb/safari company in TZ charging the same prices. While I made it to the top, I can say I never had fun. This year I summitted again and had a WONDERFUL time. I was a single woman client and was taken care of with compassion and professionalism by ALL the porters and guides.

The equipment I rented was clean and new. The food and service was fantastic. I used the sat phone and solar battery charger...wonderful. The porters even ran along our car on the way to their buses at the end, singing and high-fiving our group. The interaction with all the porters and guides was a huge difference with other groups. They motivated us tremendously when the going got tough.

Having the Gamow bag and defibrillator on the summit along with enough men to evacuate someone was a reassurance. I saw a woman being run down the mountain on a stretcher-wheel barrow when she collapsed....it was clear she wasn't with F&S Kiliwarriors! The pulse ox test every morning was also important and reassuring. Faraja was our guide and was phenomenal ...his English was excellent (as were others) and he was informative and competent.

At Mweka Gate, ALL the other climbers were standing around with their mouths open watching us celebrate with song and dance with our porters. Some jealously asked who we "went with". We were more than happy to tell them F&S Kiliwarriors!

Safari Comments

Tented camps were really a great way for me to go, especially being single. Easier to meet people and mix. Gol Kopjes employees were well trained and accommodating. Tents were good, but not arranged as well for use as the Sayari camp tents. Sayari is getting started so while they were working hard, you could tell they were newer with their employees. My needs were met and they are working hard on training, so would highly recommend them for your future clients. Meals were set on elaborate table settings there. Tents were wonderful. Camp manager was fun and sat with clients and was very welcoming. Kleins was .... what can I say! Over the top! Wow. E Unoto was fine...staff was excellent.

I was very happy to be able to go out so far into the park....so many tourists there at this time of year, and the good thing was the further out I went, the less tourists I saw. Nice. Trip from Sayari to E Unoto was too long....very hard on the driver to go so far on such bad roads. Going from Sayari to Seronera area would have been better, but it was an adventure to go so far in one day. My guide was Charles...he was experienced and I saw a very large amount of animals and scenery. Honestly, he was a little quiet for me, but did a good job. I met his wife in Arusha and she was charming and even gave me a little present of Maasai earrings. I was comfortable with his manners and his guiding.

What a difference being in TZ in April and in July. Thought I was in a different country!

Impala Hotel was the same as last year....not big on charm but restaurants were very good and internet was very nice to have available. All in all....really nice and a wonderful experience. Thank you for all the arrangements!

The mountain crew was great. They treated me the best that I have ever been treated in my life. Our guide Ernest, showed great concern for all of us. I got ill (probably hypothermia) the night before the summit. They warmed me up with hot water bottles, and he was in my tent at least four times that night checking me to make sure I did not develop altitude sickness. I really appreciated his help. I did make it to the top the next day. The entire crew was like that. When we came down off the mountain at a rest stop for lunch I laid down on the ground to catch a nap. One of the porters saw me and immediately gave me his ground mat for padding. There are a lot more examples.

One thing I noted is that there were a lot of people coming down off the mountain who did not make it to the top. Everyone in our group made it, and not because we were in great shape. In fact for this trip I was in the worst shape of my life. These guys know what they are doing.

The safari was wonderful. Everything was arranged ahead of time and was set to go when we got there. The accommodations during the safari where outstanding

F&S Kiliwarrior is by far the best outfitter on Kilimanjaro! I still cannot believe the absolute attention to detail and personalized care provided by the porters and guides. Everything from being picking up at the airport, to our hotel accommodations, to the pre-climb briefing, park registration, and every step along the way to successfully summit Uhuru Peak.

Not only was every aspect of our personal wellbeing closely managed, but our enjoyment of the trip was guaranteed by the professionalism and caring of our guides Ernest and Patrick. They were always there to share details about the mountain, their lives and the love for what they do.

I will always have fond memories of the friendships created on Kilimanjaro and I'm thankful for the opportunities Eben and Wilbert have given each and every one of us.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This was a trip over which I will never get.
My expectations were exceeded at every turn.
From our arrival at the airport, to the climb, to the safari, to how we were dropped off at the airport for our return,
It was clear we were participating with an organization of distinction.
Everything, and I mean every detail was looked after.
I have the type of job where, I regularly stay at some of the best hotels on the planet.
The Service we received by Earnest and his team exceeded the service I expect at these world class hotels.

They are to be acknowledged, and not just Ernest, but also each of the porters, waiters, dish washers, etc....
It is not to say there were not very small service interruptions,( we were on a mountain, and we are all human)
but on the whole things were extraordinary.

As you said while we were preparing, the mountain provides the scenery, it is the people and our relationships that I will leave with.

To this end, it was a pleasure to get to know and work with Ernest, Patrick and Gideon.
These relationships I will not forget anytime soon. Getting connected so profoundly during such a journey is probably predictable, and yet also unique to the Kiliwarriors. We didn't see anyone else getting connected like this to their guides.

Their ever vigilant watching us, supporting us, and coaching us, made the trip as effortless as it was.

I feel like I could go on for days, but I think I have said too much already.
Thank you for a great trip, a great experience, and you can count on many referrals from our group.

I was very nervous before I started, concerned about my stamina, mental fortitude, and the risks... Anyone contemplating the climb should understand that although challenging at times, reaching the summit is definitely achievable through a combination of the route, the time taken to acclimatize, the wonderfully supportive mountain team and the constant motivation to continue, spurred on by the beauty of a powerful and awe inspiring landscape.

At times, you transcended the ordinary and feel that you are almost among the angels. This was a deeply rewarding, enriching and at times spiritual experience.

The “Kiliwarriors” were exceptional in every respect – you only had to look around you to see how much better and more committed they were to their clients than the competition. I am deeply grateful to them for this wonderful experience and would recommend them without the slightest hesitation.

This was amazing!! I never thought I would do something like this. Our team made it to the top, due to the incredible porters and guides of F&S Kiliwarrior. Our guides, Wilbert, Ernest, and Patrick, were there to comfort us, check on us, cheer us up, and guide us at every step. Without their knowledge, patience, and persistence we would not have made it. I want to thank them personally for the "BEST" trip I've ever had.

My memory of this trip will never die. I can't thank F&S enough, for a wonderful experience throughout!!!

The trip was stunning and for an almost 65 year old a personal triumph. My pictures turned out very well and I am still a bit teary eyed when I show them to friends. The climb style helped make the trip work. The folks on the climb staff were excellent and a hoot(!) to be with.

Sorry to have to say, but beware of the 0F rental sleeping bags.... They are new, marked 0F, but from my experience, 0F they are NOT! More like +20F.

I must admit that I was initially wondering what happened to our "in park" lodging options and concerned that some ambiance may be lacking. However, our "alternate" lodging was stunning and the rustic elegance was as I had hope for....... the Plantation was actually very elegant. All provided the after-game-drive environment I had pictured. Great choices and you had my desires pegged. Thanks.

You will not find a better outfitter on Mt. Kilimanjaro....my husband researched on the internet and we hit the jackpot once we found the Kiliwarriors. They are everything they say they are and MORE...the entire trip was more than perfect. The hotels used before/after climb and during the safari were outstanding and very posh; the equipment used for camping on mountain was top of the line; My sleeping bag I rented still had the sales ticket attached!!!

The guides were so caring and knowledgeable; we felt most comfortable and at ease knowing we were well taken care of at all times. And the porters!!!! they were the best! each and every time you got to the next camp, you will be greeted by all of them singing and dancing and you will feel the envy of the other outfitters wishing they were part of Kiliwarriors.

The commoradity that is established is genuine and you will become a part of it!! i never ate so much delicious food and everything was so clean and well prepared for us

At each and every location. you can see the pride they take in their jobs. The Kiliwarriors is a class act and beyond. we feel very blessed to have found them. The cost is a bit more, but so well worth it; more than I can say--you will not be disappointed and will be very happy knowing you are in the best hands on Mt. Kilimanjaro!!!

The two day safari was outstanding and the hotels/lodges used were to die for!!!! Kikoti camp was so peaceful and what a great adventure; the romantic setting is something I will never forget; the Sopa lodge was like being at some resort in New York city--all the amenities and class included; we couldn't have asked for anything more; our driver, Gerald, was so knowlegeable and caring about our safari; the jeep/snacks/lunches/ EVERYTHING was first class all the way!!!

Eben, Wilbert and the Kiliwarriors far exceeded my expectations for the levels of service, safety, professionalism and attention to detail on this trip! Eben handled perfectly a number of pre and post climb safari and side trips that I couldn't arrange with other major pre-packaged outfitters - he made it happen flawlessly.

On the mountain, it was clear that the Kiliwarriors were the most prepared and organized climbing group. As expected, camp was always meticulously set up and ready when we arrived, however, the hot showers and our own toilet were worth their weight in gold! Importantly, when two climbers from our group needed help, the Kiliwarrior team was prepared with the right equipment, and training to assist - unlike several other outfitters we encountered while climbing.

Most importantly, the Kiliwarriors have the most fun of any group on the mountain! Almost ever other day when we arrived in camp, we were met with 70 people singing and dancing the "Jambo" song, encouraging us as we made it into camp. Other climbers and groups would gather to see why our group was so happy!!

I summitted Kili on my 40th birthday and Eben, Wilbert and the Kiliwarriors threw a huge birthday party for me at Mweka Camp - complete with a custom cake & champagne they had carried up from Arusha to surprise me!

I can't say enough positive things about Eben, Wilbert and everyone who was part of my trip on the mountain - I would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone considering climbing Kilimanjaro. Please feel free to contact me with any questions.

I wanted to personally thank you for your assistance and congratulate you for your company and your men.

In the mountain we have been a family and the guides have been like “moms” for us. I was alone but everyone managed to make me feel between friends I had forever known.

The support of all the team has been important especially in the difficult moments ( and there have been some, mostly from me because I had not completely recovered from my surgeries). On the Western Breach, when they saw our desperate faces, they immediately succeeded in making us smile: in the difficult passages they accompanied us with their songs or blues, and the courage was back again.

This climbing will be one of the most important experiences and achievements in my life and I will never forget Ernest, Gideon, Jabba and all the other whose names I don’t remember but whose faces and smiles I will see forever.

This was the right trip, on the right route, with the right people. The Kiliwarriors were wonderful, probably the best organization I have ever traveled with. And I've traveled quite a bit; for example, two expeditions in South America with Wilderness Travel. This company is 100 times better than Wilderness Travel.

Excellent equipment; spectacular campsites; very good food and plenty of it. Plus our porters' jubilant singing and dancing. Initially, that seemed a little hokey, for the first few days were not difficult. But on days 6 and 7, when we plodded through snowstorms and the trails turned narrow and steep, it felt great to see our cheering porters--even better than a hot cup of soup--when we arrived at camp.

Hikers with other companies on Kilimanjaro were plainly jealous. Some grumbled about our good fortune, some proposed bribes to use our toilet and shower. I was very glad to be with the people who were smiling!!

Safari Comments:

Jared was an excellent guide. He had a fine eye for wildlife, and I also learned much about the region and people's lives from him. Jared also seemed to know when not to talk, that periods of silence on the long drive were fine. Getting up early and being the first vehicle to enter the Crater was an excellent idea (thanks, Wilbert) and a great experience!

Having spontaneously decided to climb Kilimanjaro on my own and equally impulsively chosen F & S Killiwarrior on the internet, I has very little idea of what to expect.

However, from the moment I arrived at the airport, I knew I was in safe hands. And as soon as our porters welcomed us with song and dance at our first lunch on the mountain, I knew I was very lucky to have chosen F & S Killiwarrior. Climbing Kilimanjaro was a truly memorable experience. We had a fantastic group and an incredible support team. The delicious food, hot showers, hot water bottles at night, enthusiastic porters and professional guides were just some of the highlights.

I have no doubt the incredible memories will be savored for a lifetime.

Dear Eben,

I have received your e-mail congratulating us , but in reality it must be us that has to congratulate all the Kiliwarriors and to you for all the perfect organization of the holidays we always remember our guide Ernest and his helper Gideon , Jaba , Raphael , William , Frank , David and to all the rest of the components of the group , without them , maybe , our adventure could have been a lot more difficult .

Certainly , to climb Kili by the the Western Breach is not easy, but the professionalism , experience , and the care of the Kiliwarriors makes it possible .

Thank you very much for helping us to make our dreams come true.

It was amazing. I have never been so tired or dirty in my life, yet also feeling so strong most of the time. All in all an incredible experience for both of us. The guides..Faraja and Hosea were truly wonderful and always made us feel they were really looking out for us and for the porters. It was so nice to see the way the porters were treated compared to others we saw on the mountain. Faraja and Hosea are remarkable young men and it was a pleasure to spend 9 days with them

It was a cold, dirty, tiring and absolutely amazing few days that we will never forget. We have done a lot of hard and exciting things over the last few years but this took the cake!!! Always felt we were being well looked after. Just felt guilty that I lost my appetite and really didn't eat the last 3 days..after all the trouble of getting the food ready. Finished very strongly with no knee problems..guess all those squats with weights really worked.

At 60 and 63 I think we did a great job and finished at the park gates very strongly

The Swala Camp tents in Tarangire were amazing and the crater Lodge was also fabulous. Game drives were as good or better than expected and our driver, Chris, was a fountain of information.

Words alone fail to adequately express our gratitude to Kiliwarrior. In every possible way Eben, Wilbert, Faraja, and the rest of our climbing group were 100% professional, organized, caring, and simply superb. From start to finish Kiliwarrior was clearly the class of the many tour groups on the mountain. We repeatedly were asked by other hikers what company we had hired. As many others have commented on this site, I saw just how committed Kiliwarrior is to climber safety. Faraja monitored our condition and adjusted his pace accordingly. We never had less than one Kiliwarrior per hiker with us, and during the Western Breach we actually had extra members of the team hike with us. Fortunately, and probably because of the other great ways Kiliwarrior had prepared us, we had no trouble getting to the top. However, we did see what can happen with other groups that are not as prepared--on our ascent up the Western Breach our porters and guides helped climbers from several other groups. At least one woman would not have made it up the breach without their help. Their record speaks for itself—100% success rate for 2004!

Kiliwarrior’s professionalism starts with Eben—since Kiliwarrior was a relatively new company, we were a bit nervous about their qualifications. Every time we had a question Chris or Eben answered promptly; more importantly he actually answered the question, did not avoid discussing any topic, did not respond with sales puffing, and always left us knowing we had chosen the right company. Email him and see for yourself!

While the hike to Uhuru is the goal of the trip, reaching the peak was almost overshadowed by how much fun we had getting there. Pre-hike Wilbert showed us around Arusha to meet his family, to watch a performance by Maasai dancers, and he even helped us find a replacement part for our digital camera. During the hikes Faraja told us about the flora and fauna, as well as stories about the Maasai and Chagga. In the evenings we gathered around the cooking tent and sang songs for hours—we still find ourselves humming the tunes we learned (and we know the words are right because the Kiliwarriors helped us write down the exact spellings!). The food was superb and plentiful, expertly prepared by a team of three. We became friends, not just with the guides but with the entire group—we are still emailing with several of the Kiliwarriors after we returned to the US. There is simply no way the larger hiking companies can provide the personal connection that Kiliwarrior offers.

We could go on and on about all the great experiences. Simply put, you cannot go wrong with Kiliwarrior—the class of the mountain! Please feel free to email us if you want more information. Eben has our emails.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about our guides and porters. They became like family by the end of the trip. I will say Faraja (guide) and 4 porters took turns carrying me down the mtn. as became necessary! Our guides were well safety trained and knowledgeable and did everything they could to make us happy and to help us reach the summit.

We were the first group to go up after the western breach tragedy. Our guides did a great job of adjusting our trip to the change in route. We were, of course, disappointed in not being able to climb the western breach as we missed our rest day and the climb from Barranco to Karanga was bumper to bumper people waiting to climb the Barranco wall. Our group thought the climb from Barafu camp to the summit was difficult in terms of acclimatization. Instead of going from 19,000 (Stella point) down to Crater Camp at 18,500 and then back up to the summit the next morning, we elected to go straight to the summit, then down to Crater. We were all happy we did so as we didn't have the energy the next a.m. to do much but get down the mtn.

If you are trying to select a guide, you could not do any better than Kiliwarriors! We knew for certain when we got to the end of the climb that we had chosen the right company. I am personally happy we had enough porters to free up 4 when I needed to be helped. Three other clients also needed help with their packs on the last day and the porters were happy to help.

Also, one of the best feelings at the end of a long hard day was arriving in camp to happy, singing, welcoming porters. They always put a smile on your face...rain, hail, sleet or snow... they made it all such a great experience!

The climb was an amazing experience, in large part due to the "wagumu" and guides from Kiliwarrior!

We saw other groups stare at us with envy as the Kiliwarriors danced and sung as we came into camp every day. Their spirit and energy, not to mention their kindness in helping each person with his/her individual needs on the climb, is what made the trip extraordinary and what will remain in our memory forever.

What can I say, but thank you so much to the Kiliwarrior team. This was a trip of a lifetime and the Kiliwarriors made it better than expected.

From the time we met Justin the day before the climb at the hotel and to the end of the climb, PROFESSIONALISM is all I can say.

I felt like Justin (guide) Jonas (asst. guide) and the 26 porters that were with our group, went above and beyond the call of duty from planning and performing the functions to the climb.

I truly felt comfortable during the entire climb with food, water, shelter and safety. The porters were incredible with the work they performed. I never saw them complain or get upset with anything they were asked to do. They always were willing to help with a smile on their face.

All 5 of our group made it to the summit. The other Kiliwarrior group had all 7 of their group summit. I truly know without the help of the guides (Justin, Jonas, Ernest and Gideon) and porters, we all would not of made it.

The Kiliwarriors know how to climb and what it takes to make it to the summit. I want to thank everyone again that made this a successful climb.

I felt that friends were made with the guides and porters and it was an emotional time saying good-bye to all. I wish the best to everyone and keep safe.

Anyone ever interested in climbing Kilimanjaro, I highly recommend the Kiliwarriors for an experience of a lifetime. You'll eat great, hear wonderful songs, summit, but most of all meet wonderful people that represent the Kiliwarriors.

Thanks again to everyone and hope to see everyone in the future.

When I first found F&S Kiliwarriors on the web I was impressed with their philosophy, ecology for climbing, care for porters, and obvious awareness of essential climbing principles.

Having just finished my trek to Kilimanjaro with F&S Kiliwarriors, I can attest that what I experienced during the climb itself matched the pre-trek information on all accounts. The performance of our guides, Ernest and Gideon, and the wonderful porters were truly outstanding. Their spirit and the wonderful Kiliwarrior chants greeting us upon arriving at some of the tougher destinations really made a difference.

This is a first-class operation from the minute you land in Africa until the moment you leave. I spoke with lots of other climbers and porters from other companies. It is clear that Kiliwarriors is the top notch guide service with the highest quality of guides.

If anyone has a question about the trip call me at anytime to discuss (ask Eben for contact details). I cannot say enough about this company. If you are going to Kilimanjaro you HAVE to climb with Kiliwarriors. To do otherwise would be a huge mistake.

We couldn't have asked for a better climbing experience. Our 3 guides were all very experienced (and fun to be with), the 53 porters were extremely energetic, and the overall quality of our equipment and food was excellent.

All 7 our of group easily summited.

Highly recommended.

Safari Comments:

Everything worked out very well with our drivers and the Safari operators (Nomad Tanzania and the Kiliwarriors).

Testimonial:

To choose the F&S Kiliwarrior for my Kilimanjaro climb was without doubt the best start I could have had.

The high degree of professionalism from porters and guides and their supportive attitude, by far surpassing that of other companies we were able to observe, was the main reason for the success of the entire group. After only a few days we all felt like members of a strong and united team focused on getting everyone up on top and having fun while doing it.

I can honestly recommend the F&S Kiliwarrior team for anyone considering climbing the Kilimanjaro and I would certainly go with them again if I were to make another climb.

We have no doubts that F&S Kiliwarrior is the best outfitter on Kilimanjaro.

Our trip could not have been any better. The level of care that was given us was remarkable! Our new friends and fellow climbers all made the summit.

We've been raving to our family and friends how amazing this crew of porters and guides were during the trip. We loved everyone and will stay in touch!

All the best,

We had an awesome experience with Kiliwarriors. There was not a single hiccup or anything I would change about the trip. (well maybe hire an additional porter for myself, just to carry another duffle bag full of clean clothes…… geez, I was dirty!)

Everything went extremely well, from the time we were met at the airport to the time we left for safari. The porters have great attitudes, worked hard on our behalf, indulged my desire to play Frisbee and do extra hiking, and provided hot showers and clean toilets all with a smile and a song. I even ate far better on the mountain than I do in Phoenix. I was amazed at the chef’s ability to serve fabulous meals at 15,000 ft!

Of course you know, Wilbert is delightful, knowledgeable and a real asset to Kiliwarriors. Everybody loved him. Our guides were Ernie (Edward) and Faraja. They were wonderful. Our group really seemed to bond with them. They are well trained and have great personalities. Due to the range of conditioning amongst the climbers, our guides were flexible and provided opportunities for the faster hikers to enjoy a fast pace and the slower ones to hike without difficulty. (pole pole was just too slow for some of us – until 18,000 ft. – then it was imperative!) All of the porters were great, but I personally had a chance to interface with Kanini and Jonas on additional hiking. Just wanted to relay positive feedback on their great attitudes.

Well, I don’t want to get long winded here, but I thought you might enjoy knowing that Lance, Brent, Ryan and I were thrilled with our experience with Kiliwarriors. I hope to have the opportunity to recommend you to others, and to get back to Africa soon to climb Meru and Kili again.

This trip was incredible! Every part of the trip exceeded our expectations. Justin and Hosea, our guides, were knowledgeable,  extremely helpful, and went out of their way to make the climb as problem-free as possible.

We noticed at many of the campsites we were the envy of all all other climbers. Our group of porters/guides/cooks/etc was friendly, energetic and happy, helpful, even at 18,000ft. We knew this would be a trip of a lifetime, and Kiliwarriors made it THE trip of a lifetime.

All we can say is thank you so much!

I recently had the good fortune to climb with Kiliwarriors. The experience was made even better when Kiliwarriors had a number of postponements and I was left as the sole client.  This enabled me to get a lot of personalised attention, and above all get to eat with the Kiliwarrior crew in the kitchen tent, during which time I got to know them all and a lot more about their culture.

They were all totally professional on the mountain, and Jastin , my guide was well versed on every aspect of the climb , having made well over a hundred summits. There is no doubt that his knowledge helped me significantly to get to the summit.

I made up a Kili climbing "song" that I taught them, and Jastin made up one to teach me. We had a lot of laughs and the entire experience is one that will last with me forever.

ps here is my Kili climbing song for climbers to make sure the crew hasn't forgotten it. To be chanted in military marching style unless somebody can put it to music !
"We are going climb this big old hill,
Pole! Pole! Pole!, so we don't get ill.
We are going to work and we're gonna play,
Drink lots of water every day !
We are gonna trek in the African sun,
Tell our grandkids what we've done!
We are going to breath that Kili air,
KILIWARRIORS gonna get us there !
Up and up and higher we go,
Till we walk in the Kili snow !
KILI KILI KILI, KILI-MAN-JAR-O!!!

My group and I had a great time on our climb of the Machame route, and could not have been treated better or more kindly by the guides and porters.

They were world-class individuals all around, and really made the trip memorable. It was great to know and to be able to see that Kiliwarriors was the best outfit on the mountain by far!

Congrats on a great team!

We wanted to do something different, rewarding and memorable for our honeymoon that we would never forget. Thanks to the Kiliwarriors we achieved all of this and so much more.

Our memories of the mountain will last a lifetime and that is largely due to the incredible group of people that make up the Kiliwarriors. Professional, kind, humble, proud, friendly; some of the things that spring immediately to mind when I think of all the guys involved.

My wife and I will be forever grateful to have met each and every one of them. I am convinced that they made what would have been a good trip great.

The quality of service was beyond my expectations. The operation was very smooth, no glitches, but it was the Kiliwarriors that made our trip an unforgettable experience.

Our guides, Ernest and Gideon, earned my complete confidence. Other staff members were so team-oriented that we thought of them as camp counselors, rather than porters. Without the guidance and encouragement from all the staff I believe that accomplishing our goal would have been much more difficult. I would highly recommend anyone to climb with the Kiliwarriors.

We had a great time with the Kiliwarriors!

Our whole group made it to the top and had a wonderful trip. Everyone was positive and very encouraging about the trek. We always felt well informed and very well taken care of. Our food was EXCELLENT! Our guide knew the answers to every question we asked about the mountain, the culture, and what to expect from day to day.

The Kiliwarriors are amazing. Every single person involved from Ernest to Raphael were outstanding.

Honestly the best company to take you to the top. The singing, the dancing, the lack of oxygen...who could ask for more?

Thank you everyone for making Kilimanjaro as magical and achievable as it was.

The trip was absolutely wonderful. From day one when all of the Kiliwarriors greeted us with dance, song and enthusiasm I think all members of my team knew it was going to be an incredible experience.

Faraja was an excellent and patient guide, who was able to keep our group together all though we hiked at different paces.

Hosea was an incredibly knowledgeable and supportive. When some team members did not feel well he immediately took action and watched over them until they felt better. Hosea was also willing to go on short hikes in the evening to to see the mountain from different view points.

Good Luck, a porter, was one of many who was encouraging, in good cheer and all around supportive.

Faraja and Hosea shared their knowledge and expertise with us and encouraged our every step. The Porters supported us as well and made the overall experience the best that it could be, even in the difficult moments! The best experience ever!!!
