Kilimanjaro is a
serious mountain where people die every year.
We continue to be
amazed by folks who show up to "do" Kilimanjaro with no preparation
whatsoever.
They arrive with no
gear, then shop around for the cheapest outfitter to get them up &
down in the least amount of days!
It is no wonder
that many end up on stretchers. Being young, fit and carefree does
NOT guarantee success on Kibo.
And having no
money for tipping at the end of a climb is not cool. The porters
don't want backpacks or clothes. They are human and deserve better. |
